1.Prashar Lake trek:

Prashar lake is situated in Mandi district,Himachal Pradesh. This spot is nestled by the amazing Dhauladhar range. The basecamp of the trek is Baggi village. This village is 27 kilometres from Mandi. In December to March you will find snow here. This is a great trek to do in winter. This lake is situated at an altitude of 8,900 feet. The total trekking distance is 7.5 kilometres which can cover between 4.5 to 5 hours. This is a moderate trek. 

From Delhi you can take a bus to Mandi. It takes 10.5 to 11 hours to complete. After arriving at Mandi you can stay here overnight. Next day you start your trek from Baagi. From Mandi take a bus to Baggi.The first bus will leave at 9 am in the morning and the second bus leaves at 10 pm in the morning. After arriving at Baggi, start your trek towards the lake. After some time you will find some steep climbs. On the top you can explore the amazing Prasar Rishi temple and the Prashar lake. This is an amazing place. In the night one can enjoy the bonfire. It will be a memorable trek.

2.Bhrigu Lake Trek:

This is a high altitude lake trek in the lap of Himachal Pradesh. This max altitude of the trek is 14,000 metres.In summer the colour of the lake becomes green, in winter it turns into blue. This trek is an easy trek. If you’re a beginner in trekking then you can easily do this trek. Without any prior experience you can do this trek. From the top you can experience Hanuman Tibba, Indrasan, Pir panjal range, Deo Tibba, Seven sister peaks. You can get snow here throughout the year. Basically this trek is popular for camping in the high altitude, trekking etc.

3.Gangabal Lake trek:

Gangabal is situated at 3,570 metres. This is a beautiful trek  in Kashmir. The total trekking trail goes through many beautiful meadows, some lakes like Vishansar and Kishansar, the mount Haramukh which is 5,380 metres.

4.Brahmatal Trek:

This lake will give you such an amazing view of Mount Trishul and the Nanda Ghunti. This is a really famous winter lake trek. On the trail you will find lovely forests. In winter the total trekking trail is covered with white snow. From the lake you can enjoy the amazing sunset. The Brahmatal trek starts at a village named Lohajung. During summer the trek will be easy but during winter it will be moderate.

5.Chandratal Lake trek:

This tal is situated at 4,270 metres. This lake has a half moon shape. While doing the trek you can get some amazing views of Lahaul ranges such as Tala giri that is 6,279 metres, Minar which is 6,172 metres, Tara pahar which is 6,227 metres etc. June to the middle of October is the best time to visit this tal.

6.Kareri lake trek:

This lake is located at 3,300 metres. In India this is one of the highest lake treks. The trail of this trek goes through green meadows, spontaneous streams and amazing views of some mountains. May to June and September to October are the best time to visit here. The starting point of the trek is Dharakot and the ending point is Mcleodganj.

7.Tso Lhamo Lake Trek:

This lake is situated in Sikkim. The lake is situated at an altitude of 5,486 metres. While doing the trek you can experience the amazing tibet border. The best time to visit here is the month of October to November. 

8.Dodital Lake:

Dodital lake is located at an altitude of 3,310 metres. On this trek you can visit some amazing places like Uttarkashi, Sangam chatti then agoda, the amazing Dodital lake and the Darwa top. February to April and July to December is the best time to visit here. The temperature hovers around 18 degrees to -3 degrees. 

9.Chadar trek:

This is a popular winter lake trek in Ladakh. In winter the Zanska river looks like an icy sheet. In winter during day time the temperature hovers around 15 to 16 degree celsius. At night it can drop into -32 to -35 degrees. The Chadar lake trek is an amazing experience that will definitely blow your mind. 

10.Kedartal Trek:

This is a glacial lake that is located at an altitude of 4,750 metres. This is a 7 to 8 days trek. The trail will go through clear and vibrant meadows. On this trek you can experience many peaks such as Bhagirathi, Manda, Gangotri etc. May to June and September to October is the ideal time for this trek.
